After around two years of operations, the SSOil Energy refinery acquired its first significant batch of oil, Urucu, a Brazilian crude oil supplied by Petrobras and originating in the state of AM.
Operating since mid-2022 with acquisitions of partial cargoes of oil and condensates, the SSOil Energy refinery is now celebrating a major step in its history: the purchase of a cargo of oil on an MR ship, which will guarantee several days of supply for its production units.
This is the national oil “Urucu”, originating in the state of Amazonas, and supplied by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras). The volume acquired, around 272 thousand bbl, will be refined in the company’s atmospheric distillation units, generating various petroleum derivatives, such as gasoline, gasoil and fuel oil.
This acquisition marks SSOil’s desire to expand its partnership with oil and condensate producers in Brazil, aiming to favor the refining of national products.
